A B O U T

My name is James Knapp, I was born in New Hampshire in 1970, and have lived in New England since that time. I developed a love of reading and writing early on, participating in young author competitions and later steeped myself in the works of Asimov, Herbert, Heinlein, Kress, and Octavia Butler. I wrote throughout high school and college, and continued to do it on the side when I went to work full time. In 2008 I broke into the field with the publication of the Revivors series, and the first book in the series, 'State of Decay' was a Philip K Dick award nominee, and won the 2010 Compton Crook Award.

Since then I've transitioned from Science Fiction mostly, and focused more on stories grounded in reality, but I'll always have a soft spot for it. My current novel 'Find Me When it's Time' is currently looking for a home.
